Thriller. 2000, Color, 2:00
Starring: Mickey Rourke, Jan Decelir, Andrew Howard
Director Paul Sullivan (Mickey Rourke) wanted to look behind
the eyes of pure evil by filming a biographical picture about
a Belgian mass murderer Freddy Lebecq (Jan Decleir). When documentation
becomes exploitation, actor Dylan Cole (Andrew Howard) attempts
to humanize the reviled man’s life story through his performance.
When this is leaked to the local media, the family of Lebecq’s
victims fight to shut down the already financially compromised
production. Meanwhile, Lebecq escapes from prison and goes after
the production with a vengeance. His hateful letters are used
to stir up publicity for the film, but quickly become a real
threat. No one is safe from the grip of Lebecq’s terror.
