Fun and adventure for the whole family await you here in this
whimsical animated retelling of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic
story. Young Jim Hawlcins is awakened in the middle of the night
by a mysterious stranger with a sea chest and soon finds more
strange visitors to his small oceanside hotel, The Benbow Inn.
Jim's adventure of pirates and buried treasure begins when the
old sailor, Billy Bones, is visited by the blind pirate "Pew,"
and his comic band of ruffians demanding a treasure map. Joined
by his friends, Doctor Livesey, Squire Trelawney and Captain
Smollett, Jim sets sail on the high seas to seek the buried
treasure of the dread pirate, Captain Flint. They soon find
that their crew, led by the one-legged pirate, Long John Silver
is after the treasure too. The pirates take over the ship and
capture his friends; but forewarned, Jim manages to escape to
Treasure Island. There, aided only by his wits and the castaway
Ben Gunn, Jim must overcome the pirates, save his friends and
find the buried treasure. |
